Jose Ayala Sotelo is a Contemporary Master he won the Grand Prize for Sculptural Ceramic Art in the 43rd Concurso Nacional de Ceramica in Tlaquepaque on June 27 2019.
- Jose is from Ixtapan de la Sal, State of Mexico. His parents come from humble beginning, while his parents worked, they would give his brothers and Jose small pieces of clay to play with.
- From there he grew to love working in clay, as his talent was recognized, he had the opportunity to develop is artistic talents. While attending the university, Bellas Artes Ixtapan, he studied ceramics and other arts. His pieces are a mix of traditional and modern art.
