“Our tradition dates back to 1850, maybe a bit further back. For many years, we only made utilitarian dishes, pots and jars for water, bowls for food, among other objects for cooking.

It was about 60 years ago that my father started making decorative pieces. My parents married at a very young age of 18 years and started this wonderful calling. For 38 years ago, doing what they already knew, they continued to improve the work, experimenting with new ideas and based on the pre-Hispanic pieces that we found in this region, they began to polish the mud with plastics or stones.

I am the third son and I am 35 years old now. When I was a child, I worked with my grandparents making barrels and casseroles. About 20 years ago, we started to improve our pottery making by decorative pieces and discovering new techniques which took our pottery to another level. Along with my parents, my brothers and my wife, we do our best to bring you our ceramics for you to enjoy.

My life is my family along with this amazing gift that was given to me. I put my heart into every piece I make. Because it is the legacy of my grandparents and my parents, I will leave this legacy to my children. This wonderful gift has given me everything and my joy is to share my ceramics with you”.   Fernando Solis Luna.
