Our Story

POCHTECA was started as an online business by Bruce and Laura Limon Johanessen in 2012. Our purpose is to make beautiful, high quality Mexican Folk Art accessible to customers in the United States and the world and to foster appreciation for Latin American art and artists.

We have worked with a number of master artists, including Jose, Isabel, and Zenón Pajarito, Juan Jose Medrano, Gerardo Ortega López, Florentino Jimón Barba, and others.
