Lupita dolls have many different items in their baskets, some we are not familiar with, one of these is the Pitaya.
Pitaya is a fruit that grows on the organ pipe cactus in Mexico and in the southwest region of the United States. Dragon fruit is the new name for pitaya, and is the more common and widely used name for the fruit! With the same texture as kiwi, dragon fruit has tiny black seeds, and a similar, mildly sweet taste as well; the seeds themselves are rich in healthy fats and provide a crunchy texture to the juicy superfood. Pitaya has high amounts of vitamin C, iron, and magnesium. These are essential vitamins and minerals that are necessary for your body to repair from injury (vitamin C), transport oxygen throughout the body (iron), and keep your heart and bones in tip-top shape (magnesium). Pitaya fruit is advocated as a super health fruit helping with digestive health, hair strength, and weight loss.
Lupita dolls celebrate this healthy important food that is available in late spring and early summer.
